We were saddened to learn of Friday’s incident at Cayce Place. While Jocques Clemmons was not an MDHA resident, we understand that he frequently visited family at Cayce Place and have expressed our condolences to his loved ones.
We are not aware of any threats of resident evictions for organizing on our property. MDHA does not prohibit activities involving our residents, as long as the resident activities do not violate the terms of their lease. Our lease follows the guidance provided in federal housing regulations and has terms similar to most standard leases, which call for residents to be respectful to their neighbors in maintaining a peaceful environment for all.
Our priority is always the well-being of our residents and the peaceful enjoyment of their homes.
