Applications Open for Homeowner Rehab Program
Eligible households have an annual household income of less than 80 percent of area median income, which equals $51,200 for a family of four and $35,850 for an individual. Preference for assistance will be given to homes occupied by residents age 62 or older, people with disabilities and very low-income homeowners, who earn less than 50 percent of area median income, which equals $32,000 for a family of four and $22,400 for an individual.
Eligible properties are single family houses or condominiums that are the owner’s primary residence. All properties must be current on property taxes, mortgages payments and homeowner’s insurance and flood insurance, if applicable.
Applications are available by clicking here and at MDHA’s Community Development Department at 712 South Sixth Street between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays. To receive an application by mail, request accommodation or language assistance, call (615) 252-8530. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until funding is exhausted. To be processed, applications must be completed entirely and include all required documentation.
