The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency will host a community meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 8, 2019 at 1419 Rosa L. Parks Blvd. MDHA and Kline Swinney Associates will provide an update on the plans and a first look at the refreshed design on the mixed-income apartment building, which will replace MDHA’s Randee Rogers Training Center. For a reasonable accommodation, translator or interpreter, call 615-252-8550.
The Randee Rogers Training Center is a maintenance and storage facility with two offices and two meeting spaces. It is located on Rosa L. Parks Boulevard adjacent to Cheatham Place, an MDHA community of 314 apartments in North Nashville.
MDHA previously held community meetings in 2015, 2016 and 2017 to share information about the possibility of a mixed-income apartment building to replace the training center. Since then, Metro Council has approved a zoning change for the site, which allows up to 100 apartments. And the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) announced it will award MDHA with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) for Cheatham Place as part of its competitive program.
